Dmitry Ivanovich Sakharov (February 19 (March 4), 1889, Moscow - December 15, 1961, Moscow) is a Russian and Soviet physicist, a well-known Moscow teacher of physics, a popularizer of physical knowledge.
DI Sakharov successfully developed the most complicated problems in the methods of teaching physics. In numerous articles in the journal Physics at School, he subjected many of the traditional interpretations of program topics to a subtle analysis, revealing their incompleteness, inaccuracy, and sometimes erroneousness, establishing new, completely scientific approaches to explaining and articulating certain aspects of the physics course, School, and in high school. Dmitri Ivanovich's merit is the elimination of the confusion in the school course about the centrifugal and centripetal forces, the forces of inertia, the introduction of the concept of internal energy into school practice, and the improvement of other central topics of the course.
