RAUL CHAVEZ SARMIENTO A LENDA PERUANA NAS OLIMPÍADAS DE MATEMÁTICA DA IMO-The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students -MEDALHA BRONZE,PRATA E OURO-PHD MATHEMATICS HARVARD UNIVERSITY

 Raúl Arturo Chávez Sarmiento (n. en Perú, 24 de octubre de 1997) es un estudiante de matemáticas peruano conocido por ser la segunda persona más joven del mundo en obtener una medalla en la Olimpiada Internacional de Matemática (IMO),1​ después del matemático australiano Terence Tao. Gracias al apoyo de su familia, Raúl consigue desarrollar su habilidad matemática desde temprana edad.2​ Es así que el año 2009, a la edad de 11 años, después de un proceso selectivo,3​ participa en su primera Olimpiada Internacional de Matemática, ese año desarrollada en Alemania. Allí obtuvo su medalla de bronce, acompañando el buen desempeño de su equipo.1​ Esta participación fue seguida de otras tres, en Kazajistán (2010), Países Bajos (2011) y Argentina (2012) donde obtuvo medallas de plata, oro y plata, respectivamente.4​ En 2011, al obtener su medalla de oro, Raúl ocupó el sexto lugar en la clasificación general, siendo el mejor resultado individual que ha obtenido un peruano en esta competencia hasta el día de hoy. Raúl obtuvo su título de pregrado en la Escuela de Matemática Aplicada de la Fundación Getulio Vargas5​ simultáneamente mientras realizaba sus estudios de maestría en Matemáticas en el Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA).6​ Actualmente está siguiendo el programa de doctorado en Matemáticas de la Universidad de Harvard.

Theory Functions of a Complex Variable, thus completing a course in higher mathe­matics for engineering students and forming a four-book series entitled “Higher Mathematics”. Academician S. Nikolsky is the author of the two-volume textbook A Course of Mathematical Analysis issued in Eng­lish by Mir Publishers in 1977 and re­ printed in 1981. All the problems are provided with ans­ wers, some of the problems are sup­ plied with hints. The book contains many worked problems.
