Ambos jóvenes son del colegio Prolog de Villa María del Triunfo. Así también, Flavio Cachay del Colegio Mayor logró una mención honrosa y Percy Sifuentes del colegio Saco Oliveros trajo una medalla de plata para el Perú. Bravo por estos cuatro jóvenes. Felicitaciones.

Overview Contests in Higher Mathematics: Miklós Schweitzer Competitions 1962-1991 / Edition 1
 One of the most effective ways to stimulate students to enjoy intellectual efforts is the scientific competition. In 1894 the Hungarian Mathematical and Physical Society introduced a mathematical competition for high school students. The success of high school competitions led the Mathematical Society to found a college level contest, named after Miklo's Schweitzer. The problems of the Schweitzer Contests are proposed and selected by the most prominent Hungarian mathematicians. This book collects the problems posed in the contests between 1962 and 1991 which range from algebra, combinatorics, theory of functions, geometry, measure theory, number theory, operator theory, probability theory, topology, to set theory. The second part contains the solutions. The Schweitzer competition is one of the most unique in the world. The experience shows that this competition helps to identify research talents. This collection of problems and solutions in several fields in mathematics can serve as a guide for many undergraduates and young mathematicians. The large variety of research level problems might be of interest for more mature mathematicians and historians of mathematics as well.

PERU Team Wins First Place at International Mathematical Olympiad of the Southern Cone-MACEIO-BRAZIL

Peru grabbed gold and silver medals at the 29th Mathematical Olympiad of the Southern Cone held in Maceio City on August 24-28. Congratulations to the PERU team: The national delegation was composed of 15-to-16-year-old students from Saco Oliveros School: Daniel Benavides, Joseph Altamirano, Eduardo Llamoca, and Renzo Balcazar. Benavides and Altamirano got perfect scores (20 points) by solving all the math problems, thus claiming gold medals. On the other hand, the team's youngest members Llamoca and Balcazar grabbed silver.
BRAZIL OCCUPIED THE SECOND PLACE, ARGENTINA THIRD PLACE.

In this research, several experimental tests have been designed and performed to examine the quality, accuracy, robustness, reliability, capability and flexibility of different parts of the proposed automatic control system in real and large-scale PV plants. The preliminary results have proven that automating the procedure of PV plants inspection is very promising, being practical, precise and much faster than traditional monitoring methods.

 About Dr. Mohammadreza Aghaei Mohammadreza Aghaei has completed his Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering in 2009 and studied Master of Business Administration (MBA - Project Management). He received the M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering (Solar Cells) from Tenaga Nasional Universiti, Malaysia in 2013 and the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering (PV modules and systems) from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2016.
