GM Jorge Cori gana medalla de bronce en el Mundial de Eslovenia
The World Youth Chess Championships 2012 were held in Maribor, Slovenia, on 7-19th November. This year around 158 young players participated in twelve age categories.
In the oldest group the top rated player of the whole event and last year World Junior U20 Champion, GM Dariusz Swiercz from Poland, took the gold medal in the U18 Open section. He left the talented Armenian GM Hovhannes Gabuzyan half a point behind, while GM Jorge Cori of Peru grabbed the bronze medal after edging the opposition on tie-break.
