A.G. KUROSH - CURSO DE ALGEBRA SUPERIOR
Professor A. G. Kurosh was born in January 1908. He made a great contribution to group, lattice and category theories, and to universal algebra. His theorem on subgroups of free products of groups became classical with many applications in algebra and topology. Prof. A. G. Kurosh was the head of Department of Algebra of Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in Moscow State University from 1949 to 1971.

Fundamental University Physics: Quantum and Statistical Physics v.3 (World Student) (Vol 3) -FÍSICA. VOLUMEN III- FUNDAMENTOS CUÁNTICOS Y ESTADÍSTICOS / ALONSO, FINN
During the period of the cold war between USSR and USA and while the race for space was on, a revision of the science program in USA occurred. Out of this revision many beautiful books to educate the young generations of scientists were written. In particular, in physics several monumental introductory textbooks appeared; among them are those written by Richard Feynman, Halliday and Resnick, Alonso and Finn and the Berkeley series on physics. It is great pity to see that these texts have fallen to oblivion although new texts are superficial and published only for monetary gains by the publishers.

Geometry Revisited H. S. M. Coxeter and S. L. Greitzer TEXTBOOK*
The book is rich in remarkable facts and thereby is very effective in promoting the significance and the value of geometry in mathematical teaching, a promotion which is very necessary. — Mathematical Reviews Among the many beautiful and nontrivial theorems in geometry found here are the theorems of Ceva, Menelaus, Pappus, Desargues, Pascal, and Brianchon. A nice proof is given of Morley's remarkable theorem on angle trisectors. The transformational point of view is emphasized: reflections, rotations, translations, similarities, inversions, and affine and projective transformations. Many fascinating properties of circles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and conics are developed.
